Hi all,
Please see a really nice email from Josh Hyland...North Sydney are very lucky to have somebody like him at the helm! Thanks Josh, Lisa J President.

Good Afternoon All,

Well what a great season we have had for the North Sydney District Junior League in 2016. I would personally like to say thank you to each and every one of junior league parents, volunteers, coaches, trainers and most importantly players.

2016 has seen growth in U6s through to U12s which is a positive step in growing our great junior league. Our 2016 Development squad programs for U13s-U15s was one of our most successful in recent years with games against Sydney Roosters, St George Dragons, Manly- Warringah District Junior League and Balmain Tigers throughout the May-July period. We will be looking to build on this in 2017 with the introduction of a U12s development program to run at the same time (more information to follow shortly).

In 2016 we have seen the growth in our Junior League with the implementation of a 2 division competition for our Under 9s this season, as a district this is a goal for all our competitive age groups to have multiple divisions as we can cater to all levels of experience.

To all the Junior League clubs committees, I thank you for all your tireless efforts in 2016 and without your hard work and dedication to your respective clubs the district would not be able to survive, so I thank you all.

With the summer season sports just around the corner and you are still wanting to get your footy fix there are several options for children to play with Touch football and Oztag great ways to keep active and also keep up your footy skills.

The NSWRL and North Sydney District Junior League are also running a M8s U12s and U14s tackle competition for the month of October. Please see attached flyer for more information.

Lastly, again thank you all for a great season, enjoy your summer break and I look forward to seeing you all in season 2017.

Josh Hyland, Football Operations Manager, North Sydney Bears, North Sydney Junior Rugby League

Words cannot describe what many of us are feeling. Let's not allow one game define what this U9 Maroon's team has accomplished this year! Each & every player brought something new to this team. I love that these kids love playing rugby league, that they have made long-life friendships, that they were gracious in defeat and humble in success. Thank you Scott Bovis for an amazing season, for your commitment & support to the development of this team. Bring on 2017. ... See MoreSee Less

Our Club

  • Wallabies Mission Statement
To develop & promote the sport of Rugby League within Berowra & surrounding communities and encourage the participation of both junior & senior age groups. Above all, we encourage fairness, competition, player safety, and enjoyment of the game. One club – One team.
  • The Way We Coach
Most importantly, we coach our players to have fun and to improve themselves. We conduct coaching clinics under the supervision of our coaching co-ordinator, to coach the Coaches. This is aimed at enabling all coaches to give our players a better shot at learning the skills and drills they need to enjoy both their training and the game on the field. We think that if our players are happy, their parents are happy and it makes for an enjoyable season for every one involved.

  • The Way We Support

We aim to be positive in everything we do and say throughout the season. We realise that our players don’t make mistakes on purpose, so we relax and enjoy the season and let the play entertain us. We give the Referees and Opposition the respect they deserve. They, like us, are all a part of the game. We play hard, fair and within the rules and regardless of a win, a loss or a draw just remember…
